Responsible Voting...Please Be Informed

Okay people, I don't usually discuss politics on here.  I don't like arguing with brick walls and I'm guilty of being a brick wall from time to time myself.  I don't enjoy preaching about my political views and I've never set out to try to change anyone's views either.  I grew up in a very conservative Republican home.  But I'd like to think that I see both sides...but I'm willing to agree that I've probably been highly influenced by my father's views, because they make sense.  However, there have been times that I may have thought one of the independents would be a better choice, but then I feel like I'm wasting my vote if I vote for an independent candidate...and then forced to vote for the lesser of two evils.

I watched the Presidential debates last week.  I even had my kids watch some of them with me.  The one thing that stood out to both of them was that President Obama never really answered a question.  He talked in circles and then dismissed the questions.  I felt like both candidates spent more time repeating themselves over and over than actually informing all of us voters about what they intend to do to save our country.

The next day Chiquita sent me this video.  It's long, but it's information EVERYONE should know about the rules of these so-called debates.  They are a sham.  Both parties are guilty of blocking other independent parties from participating in the debates.  Most of the companies producing the polling results exclude the independents as well.  It's a sad and scary thought.  Please take the time to watch this video.

I also went to see Obama's 2016 over the weekend.  I'm begging you...GO SEE THIS!!!  It is eye opening.  It's not politically charged.  This documentary is something that EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN VOTER should watch.  It uncovers many of President Obama's views and secrets that he tried very hard to hide.  Did you know that in his 4 years of office, he's acquired more national debt than George Washington through Bill Clinton COMBINED!?!?  It's predicted that if he's reelected our national debt will be upwards of 20 TRILLION dollars!!  At that point, we will be owned my China.  He is working towards the United States depleting their nuclear warheads down from 5000 to 1500 to even less.  Do you understand what that means?  That means that we're vulnerable...wide open for attack with no way to protect ourselves.  It outlined the true reasons that he has blocked the Keystone pipeline and halted offshore drilling...and it has nothing to do with what is best for our country.

President Obama's true intentions have ZERO to do with traditional democratic views and opinions.  He is anti-American and anti-colonization.  So again, I beg you to take the time to go see this documentary.  I am not asking you to vote for Mitt Romney...although that is what I intend to do.  I'm hoping and praying that he can help undo the mess that Obama has made and save our country before it's too late.  By voting for Barack Obama, you are NOT voting for the democratic party...you are voting for a socialist communist.  Don't believe everything you hear from the media...do your own research.   If you're not registered to vote, tomorrow is the deadline.  You can click here to register online.

I know that many of my readers will probably disagree with this post.  I hope that we can all just agree to disagree.  I'm optimistic that this won't turn you completely off of my blog, because obviously if you've been reading long, you know that I don't usually post this kind of stuff...but I felt this situation too serious not to share it with my readers.

Happy Birthday Clarance...SURPRISE!!!

GAHHHHH!!!  I wish someone had thought to record the surprise part of Clarance's party.  It was priceless.  He was speechless and even teared up just a little bit.  Thank you to Tater, Valentine & Cricket for making it happen.

I truly enjoyed my conversation about the "salty balls" <---sausage balls...with Trixie and Speedo.  I was quite impressed with his talent of stuffing 2 salty balls in his mouth at one time.  That's the bomb diggity right there.  As for the pickles wrapped in ham and cream cheese...thanks to Petunia for ruining my appetite (for a minute). But seriously, just thinking about them makes my mouth get that watery, puky feeling.  BLECK!!!!  But of course her cousin made it before...and her other cousin just got married, in case you were curious.

And Trixie brought up a very good "politically correct" point regarding the Olympics.  If we're encouraged to call black people here "African Americans", what are we supposed to call the other black athletes at the Olympics?  African French? African Canadian?  African Nigerian? African Dominican?  I could go on, but I'm pretty sure the point has been made.  It's just silly.  Aren't we all just Americans?  I'm a white American, Gabby Douglas is a black American and Jennifer Lopez is a Hispanic American.

Throughout the night (or whole weekend really) it was made abundantly clear that Skeeter really is a dick...but he's really just taking one for the team by saying the things the rest of us don't want to say out loud for fear of hurting anyone's feelings.  Zippy met his match...he found another chatterbox to keep him company or maybe just steal his spotlight.  Kisses Zippy.

There were tears shed about one-legged girls...and another that turns out to have both of her legs.  We giggled about Clarance's mom...the assistant warden at the woman's prison, trying to play matchmaker.  We had a few of our own episodes of WWE Smackdown on the back patio...seeing as there were only 4 tall chairs around the patio table, they were coveted real estate.  Once you gained residency, you did NOT want to give that shit up!!  So you had me & Chiquita holding "it"...to the point that wetting our pants were a definite possibility.  Poor Skittles thought she was gonna gain occupancy of my chair when I finally couldn't hold it anymore...but luckily Lollipop is my BFF and I know she prefers to stand...so she took up temporary  residency for me while I drained my bladder.  Then you've got Captain Knuckles trying to throw me out of my chair...then eventually stealing Chiquita's and declaring ownership of the fly swatter.  UH OH!!!

Lollipop suggested a Captain Knuckles sandwich too.  He proved he could work the fly swatter on both sides of the "sandwich".  I've truly missed Captain Knuckles...I'm so glad he finally showed up and provided enough material to actually make it into our Clowny Adventures.  Please don't be a stranger.

Skeeter had quite the conversation with Siri about how many woodchucks could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.  Freckles rocked out the Kilo...Love In Ya Mouth.  Cuz gave some great advice for the next time someone asks "Do I know you? You look really familiar."  Just ask them if they watch porn.  Tater apparently broke a mirror at work on Saturday...so in the middle of all the insanity, he dug a hole in the moonlight and buried said mirror...to bypass his 7 years of bad luck.  Captain Knuckles was unsuccessfully trying to light his cigarette with a book of matches, eventually using the tiki torches...and being scolded by Cuz, who told him he better be careful "those things'll give you salmonella brother."   All the boys (minus Captain Knuckles) ended up inside having a Duck Dynasty marathon.   I'm sure I'm probably leaving something out...so check back for updates.  Please click on the banner below to keep helping me climb in the rankings at topmommyblogs.com.  Feel free to follow me here and Facebook and share the laughter with your friends.  Have a great week...and stay tuned for more graceful disasters.      Top Mommy Blogs - Mom Blog Directory

Super Tuesday...

Let me start with, I'm not a hugely politically active person.  I do follow politics and I do vote, but I don't usually preach my opinions.  I'll discuss them with those that are willing to discuss, not argue back and forth.  I HATE arguing politics!!!  I hate it mainly because so many people just believe what they hear on t.v. and every network spins everything to their benefit.  It is our responsibility as a nation to listen, research (independently) and make an educated choice when electing our presidents, mayors, governors, senators, congressmen, etc.  It's ignorance that elects inept leaders.

That being said, this post is solely my opinion.  Nobody has to agree with me...but I'm not looking for an argument.  I'm perfectly willing to listen to different opinions and see others point of views.  With many of my friendships, I've had to just agree to disagree when it comes to politics and religion...and that's how we're able to still be friends.

In a nutshell, I believe abortion is a personal choice, that should not be used as a form of birth control.  I work hard and don't look for hand outs.  If you're on welfare, you should be required to take drug tests.  I believe  government spending is WAY out of control. I believe in the death penalty.  I believe we need a real plan to eliminate our dependency on other countries for fuel...and that drilling HERE makes the most sense.  Creating new jobs and lowering the cost of gas will ABSOLUTELY help our economy.  I believe health care is important, that's why I have a job that offers it.  I don't think that it should be mandatory!!  There should be laws and plans that help bring the cost down in order to make it more affordable.  People kill people, not guns.  I'm all for gay marriage.  I don't like war, but it's often necessary.  I don't think illegal immigrants should be eligible for all of the same things as those that followed the rules and came here legitimately.

When I woke up this morning, I was undecided about who I was going to vote for today.  I was on the fence between Gingrich and Romney, but after all of the research I've done today...Newt has my vote!!  I know a lot of people don't like him because of his infidelities and wandering eye, but I'm convinced that if we're basing our political choices on morals alone, we're screwed all the way around. In my opinion, it's the president's job to do what is best for our country as a whole. It is my job to set a good moral example to my children and teach them right from wrong. I'm not condoning cheating on spouses...but ultimately that's not what's gonna make or break our country.

Bottom line: It's important to vote!!!  If you don't vote, your voice isn't heard and you have no right to complain about the condition our country is in.  So, if you're not registered to vote...you can do so online at http://sos.georgia.gov/elections/vrinfo.htm. I found a great website that helps you compare each candidate's position on each issue.  Here's a link to compare Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney.   http://2012.candidate-comparison.org/?compare=Gingrich&vs=Romney.  You can change who you want to compare to Obama or whoever else you might be considering voting for.
